MediaNet selects Nominum DNS-powered N2 Platform

Nominum has announced a contract with Latin American satellite broadband operator Media Networks ("MediaNet") to provide its DNS-powered N2 Platform with a view to increasing revenue from subscriber bandwidth upgrades. MediaNet delivers high-speed internet connectivity to more than 200,000 subscribers in Chile, Brazil and Colombia and the company's use of Nominum's N2 Reach in-browser messaging app resulted in 16 percent of subscribers increasing bandwidth, said Nominum. Other apps included in the N2 Platform are N2 Threat Avert and N2 Engage, offering protection from DDoS and malware, and N2 Insight, offering subscriber analytics data for cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
