Dunwello adding some serious local talent with two new hires

unwello, the “Yelp for professionals,” announced on Tuesday that it has added two new key team members. Megan Knisely, the former director of marketing at Karmaloop, will be joining the company as its new head of marketing, while former GrabCAD head of community Sara Sigel will be starting soon in the role of Dunwello’s new head of community.

The company, which has created a way to categorize what someone is like to work with, uses net promoter scores to rate experiences and to rate individuals. According to co-founder and chief executive Matt Lauzon, the company is laser-focused on growing in the Boston market before expanding to other cities.

“We’re starting to see professionals make Dunwello their primary professional profile,” Lauzon said, “and those professionals are being rewarded for it in the form of new customers and business opportunities.”

Knisely worked closely with chief executive Greg Selkoe during her years at Karmaloop, which has built a huge and devoted community over the years. Additionally, she played a key role in connecting many trendsetters and fashion community thought leaders to Karmaloop during her years there.

During her time at product design software company GrabCAD, which was acquired by Stratasys last year, Sigel helped build an enormous, active user base of CAD developers and designers.

“It’s time for us to get Dunwello in the hands of more professionals and I believe we’ve found two of the world’s most talented people to ensure that happens,” Lauzon said.
