ChannelAdvisor CEO's bets win on Wall Street in 4Q

Scot Wingo is having a good day.

The CEO of Morrisville-basedChannelAdvisor (NYSE: ECOM) is in New Jersey, set to appear on tonight’s "Mad Money" with Jim Cramer on CNBC. But he still took a few minutes to chat about the good news - that his IPO bet is paying off.

Cramer, like many on Wall Street, is zeroing in on Wingo’s firm, which just posted a 28 percent jump in fourth quarter revenue. That revenue pushed past analyst expectations, reaching $20.5 million. Compare that to Bloomberg’sestimate of $19.9 million.

“The thesis of our IPO was investing in sales and marketing, and that’s what we’ve been doing,” he says.

And it’s working.
